Trolling the Sunset Strip the other day and seeing what bands I’ve never heard of are playing the clubs. Barely any foot traffic on the boulevard at midday, and nary a metalhead in sight. I know it was a weekday and a few decades too late to see hordes of the latter passed out on the sidewalk with bottles of Jack in hand, but if any scene was gonna have a straggler or two still reliving the glory days, it’s that one, you know?
